The name for this small crochet business derives from characters from a famous Welsh language children’s book ‘Morus y Gwynt’ and ‘Ifan y Glaw’ – Morris the Wind and Evan the Rain. Not only was it the business owner’s fondest books from her childhood, it also reflected the somewhat unpredictable, sometimes challenging weather conditions of the area where the business is based.
In order to reflect elements of the name’s origins and of course the craft of crocheting itself, we aimed to create a mark that was classic and traditional in appearance, with a muted, earthy palette, serifed font and an illustrative feel to the mark.
